Profhilo consists of ultra pure hyaluronic acid stabilised without added chemicals. Hyaluronic acid occurs naturally in our skin but decreases as we age. It can retain water up to 1,000 times its own weight.
Profhilo's is injected in the face at specific and prompts the skin to bind water and stimulates the production of collagen and elastin.

What result can I expect from a Profhilo treatment?
Your skin is hydrated from the inside out, making it look more radiant, youthful and cared for. Profhilo is not a filler and therefore does not add volume. It stays under the skin for 3-4 weeks, but the effect continues because Profhilo activates your own connective tissue to produce new collagen. Profhilo is often applied as a course of several treatments per year to continue and maximise results.
How safe is treatment with Profhilo?
A treatment with Profhilo is very safe. This is because Profhilo contains pure hyaluronic acid, an endogenous substance that the body itself can break down. Injected hyaluronic acid normally disappears within 24 to 48 hours, but by stabilising it, it can stay in place for 3 to 4 weeks. What is special about Profhilo is that IBSA, the Swiss company behind the product, has a patented technology to stabilise hyaluronic acid "without" any chemical additives.

When can I resume my daily activities?

Does Profhilo treatment hurt?
The pricks of an injectable treatment can feel a little uncomfortable. However, most people do not experience it as painful. The needles for injectables are very thin. If you wish, we can numb your skin.
