Collagen stimulator

Makes your skin firm and healthy again

Discover Sculptra

Are you looking for a way to restore your skin's natural firmness and fresh appearance without dramatic changes? Then the Sculptra biostimulator is an excellent option.

Unlike a standard filler, Sculptra does not immediately fill in wrinkles with gel, but rather stimulates your skin to produce new collagen itself. As a result, the skin structure improves from within.

The effect of Sculptra builds up gradually and makes you look fresher and more rested. The results of Sculptra last a long time.

  • Natural collagen stimulation
  • Restoration of firmness, elasticity and structure
  • Versatile (face & body)
  • Long-term effect (12 to 24 months)

More about Sculptra

Why is collagen important?
Collagen is an important protein in the body that ensures the skin maintains its structure, elasticity and hyaluronic acid, keeping the skin smooth and hydrated. A healthy production of collagen ensures a more youthful appearance.

Skin aging
As we get older, less collagen is produced. As a result, fine lines and creases appear and the face loses volume. To slow down and repair this process in a natural way, stimulating your own collagen production is the most effective step.

What is Sculptra
Sculptra is not a filler, but a collagen biostimulator based on poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA-SCA), which occurs naturally in our bodies. Sculptra ensures that the body produces new collagen again, allowing the skin to regain its firmness, elasticity and structure.

How does Sculptra work?
Sculptra is injected into the deep layer of the skin, also known as the hypodermis. The poly-L-lactic acid triggers a chain of reactions that causes the fibroblasts in your skin to produce new collagen. The results of this become visible gradually and last a long time (12 to 24 months).

Treatment

Consultation
During the consultation, the doctor will discuss your wishes and the corresponding treatment techniques with you and advise you on the best way to achieve an effective and natural result. You will receive information about the expected effect, potential side effects and risks, and the costs.

Treatment
During the treatment, Sculptra is usually injected using a cannula. Since Sculptra is mixed with the anaesthetic lidocaine, the treatment is comfortable and you typically only feel some slight pinpricks. After the injections, the doctor briefly massages the area so that the product is distributed evenly. A Sculptra treatment takes approximately 45 minutes in total.

After the treatment
Avoid saunas, steam rooms, strenuous exercise and exposure to sunlight or UV radiation for at least 24 hours, or until redness and swelling have subsided. Massage the treated area for 5 minutes, 5 times a day for 5 days using a moisturising cream. All aftercare guidelines are described in our aftercare brochure.

Side effects
The side effects of Sculptra are usually mild and temporary in nature. The most common side effects are skin redness, swelling, itching, bruising, or pain and tenderness at the site of the treated area. These and other potential side effects will be discussed during the consultation.

Result
The results of a Sculptra treatment become visible gradually: this means the changes are subtle. For an optimal result, usually 2 or 3 treatments are needed. The newly produced collagen has a long-lasting effect (12 to 24 months).
