What is Viscoderm?
Viscoderm Hydrobooster is also called Profhilo's sister and also consists of pure hyaluronic acid, but slightly crosslinked. This gives all the benefits of hyaluronic acid, but without the lifting effect.
How Viscoderm works
Viscoderm Hydrobooster is a hyaluronic acid-based skin booster. Hyaluronic acid is a substance that occurs naturally in our skin and decreases as we age. It can hold water up to 1000x its own weight. This property keeps the connective tissue under the skin in good condition. A treatment with Viscoderm Hydrobooster has a double effect. It is a hydrating booster that improves skin texture while softening dynamic wrinkles and fine lines.

Viscoderm Hydrobooster is ideal for treating ageing skin. In addition to the face, the neck décolleté can also be treated.
Treatment with Viscoderm Hydrobooster
Consultation
During the consultation, the doctor will discuss your cosmetic wishes and the relevant treatments with you to achieve an effective and natural result. You will receive information about the product, treatment, expected results, as well as side effects and risks.
Treatment
Due to the superficial injections, the Viscoderm Hydrobooster treatment can be perceived as painful. Therefore, we numb the skin we are going to treat beforehand with a numbing cream. After that the Viscoderm is injected with several superficial injections. An average treatment takes about 30 minutes and may cause some discomfort or mild pain.
After the treatment
Most clients continue their daily activities immediately after treatment, but not everyone reacts the same way. We will give you an aftercare brochure with living rules for after treatment.
Side effects
Treatment with Viscoderm is safe and most side effects are mild and temporary in nature. These include fluid accumulation (oedema) and bruising.
Result
The result is visible after a few days and feels like a particularly effective face cream. For optimum effect, the treatment is repeated after 2 months and then maintained with a treatment every 6 months
Viscoderm + Profhilo
This combination of Profhilo and Viscoderm is mainly a trend in the UK but is also increasingly popular in the Netherlands. This gives your skin the benefits of both products at the same time.

What results can I expect from a Viscoderm Hydroboost treatment?
A Viscoderm Hydrobooster treatment has a dual result: a deep moisturising effect improves skin quality and a stretching effect increases skin elasticity and smoothes the skin, causing dynamic wrinkles and lines to soften or disappear. The extent of the effect is personal and depends on factors such as: age, the condition of your skin and previous treatments. The result of a treatment lasts for up to 6 months.
How safe is a Viscoderm Hydrobooster treatment?
Treatment with Viscoderm is safe and side effects that may occur are usually mild and temporary in nature.
Harmless side effects include: fluid accumulation (oedema), swelling, itching, skin discolouration (redness, bruising) and sensitivity due to the injection.

When can I resume my daily activities?
In principle, immediately after treatment. However, the skin may show some red or blue after the treatment, and on the treatment day itself you should not wear make-up.
We also recommend not exercising for 24 hours after treatment and not going to the sauna for a week.
